Journey Inward with
Runes

Rune can be a helpful meditation tool. Runes
can help us journey inward, uninhibited by the limitations of words. The
use of symbols allows the freedom of right brain to be utilized while
circumventing the limits of the left-brain. The right brain "thinks" in symbols,
images, and feelings. The left-brain ties us to linear thought. Accessing
the freedom of right brain association allows us to bypass left-brain "rules"
and "laws" regarding what we should think, feel, and believe.
Runes possess an unique innate aspect -- each symbol comes with a prescribed set of attributes allowing for the choice of a rune that best fits your need. This left-brain bypass allows us to tap into an uninhibited meditative place. Words cannot get in the way. Another benefit of using runes to journey inward is that a focus is provided when clarity is needed. For instance, meditating on the Elder Futhark rune Ansur can allow a clear channel for the absorption of knowledge, making exams and job interviews easier. If healing is desired, Ur, the Elder Futhark rune of strength, can help unleash healing energies from within.
Using empowered symbols
such as runes allows the subconscious to connect without having to navigate
the labyrinth of limitations. Meditating with runes brings us to hidden regions
while avoiding self-imposed roadblocks. Using runes can make the meditative
process easier and more focused. It is a good way to quiet the "chattering
monkey" and make the meditative state possible. |
